Thursday Wallingford snow update

6:30 a.m.: Seattle was spared the brunt of yesterday’s snowstorm (we got a heavy dusting in upper Wallingford), but the cold blast has affected local schools:

  • Meridian School opens at 10:00 a.m.
  • Seattle Public Schools’ Mid-Winter Break enrichment classes cancelled today

The University of Washington will open as usual (though its Bothell and Tacoma campuses are  delayed until later in the morning).

Metro buses are not on snow routes in our area.

The temperature is under freezing, so streets and sidewalks are icy.

The National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory for our region in effect throughout today.
