Valentine’s Day is a mere 13 days away; made your dinner plans yet? Here’s a novel option — on February 14 the beloved mobile diner Skillet (yes, home of the bacon jam) will pull up to 509 Wines (1300 N. Northlake Way, just east of Stone Way) and serve up a selection of small tastes to accompany 509’s wine and Hot Cakes’ molten chocolate cake.

From Skillet:

We will be doing 5-6 skillet tastes for you to peruse through like mini burgers, crab cake po’boy, poutine, guajillo chile mac n cheese, duck tacos etc…In addition to that, Hot Cakes will be there serving up their delectable gooey chocolate molten cake. To top it all off, 509 wines will be pouring their 2007 Syrah, 2009 Viognier, and 2009 Syrah Rose.  So surprise your honey with a little out of the box valentines! they will actually think you put a little thought into it!  Get tickets here or we’ll be selling tickets at the event as well…

The fun runs from 7 to 10 p.m. on one night only, February 14.
