Tonight: Community meeting about farmers market

Fans of the Wallingford Farmers Market will recall that last year was a tumultuous season for our weekly source of fresh produce and prepared foods.

Seattle Farmers Market Association — which runs Wallingford’s Wednesday market as well as those in Ballard, Fremont, and other areas of the city — and numerous neighborhood organizations have convened a community meeting tonight to discuss the three possible locations for the market in 2011.

The meeting is 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of Solid Ground at 1501 N. 45th Street.

  1. What's the scoop on last night's meeting? And in the meantime, I heartily recommend New Roots Organics! for weekly organic delivery. Gorgeous stuff, great prices, much local, local small business.
