If you plan to go to U Village, Children’s Hospital, Magnuson Park or many other destinations east of the U District, you’ll need to find an alternate route to the 45th Street Viaduct. Work begins today to replace the structure, which was built in 1938, and won’t end until September.
The Seattle Department of Transportation offers suggested routes for cars, plus urges using bus, bike or foot power to get to your destination.
Follow the progress of the project and get much more information on the SDOT website.
