Edible Book Festival serves up tasty tomes

Yesterday’s fifth annual Edible Book Festival at the Good Shepherd Center brought together a couple hundred lovers of books, puns, food, and this stuff called fondant (which barely qualifies as food) for an afternoon of culinary cleverness. Without further ado, the category and Best in Show winners:

Best in Show: “The Origin of Reeses,” created by Cath Carine and Suze Woolf


2nd Place: “Alice in Wonderland,” by Carol Marty


3rd Place: “Raisin in the Sun,” by Linda Collins

Most Punderful: “The Audacity of Toast,” by Katie Brister

Most Drop-Dead Gorgeous: “Hypnerotomachia Poliphili,” by Sarah Lovett

Most Delectably Appetizing: “The Life of Pi(e),” by Michele [Our photo didn’t show her last name clearly! Please get in touch if you know it.]

Best Young Edible Artist: “Twilight: Welcome to Forks,” by Alejandra Martinez
