The Wallingford Center Merchant Association has extended their food drive for an extra two weeks, according to the association’s president and 4 Your Eyes Only Optical owner Judy Ayers. The food drive started on Halloween, and was supposed to last until November 20. However, Ayers tells us the food drive will continue until Sunday, December 4.
Ayers says the food drive is to benefit the Family Works Food Bank, and the Wallingford Center hopes to raise 300 pounds. To date, the drive has raised 145 pounds. The food drive is one of two yearly food drives hosted by the Wallingford Center.
