As we reported earlier this month, Wallingford will be the first Seattle neighborhood to create a “greenway,” an alternative and safer route for bikers and pedestrians. As plans progress, the Wallingford Greenways group is asking for residents to observe pedestrian, bike and car traffic before and after the first greenway hits the neighborhood.
The observations will consist of half-hour time slots, and the group hopes to get around 30 to 50 sign-ups before early November. They want observations before work (7:30 to 9 a.m.) and after school (2:30 to 4:30 p.m.) and on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. If you want to participate in the resident observations, visit the registration form.
