This Wednesday, October 5, the Wallingford Community Council will meet to discuss a potential change in the zoning code that could result in the construction of a large office building between 34th and 35th streets on Stone Way. According to the Wallingford Community Council, the code change would increase the height limit from 45 feet to 65 feet (not including rooftop equipment).

The Community Council expects to hear from the developer, neighbors and interested parties in order to discuss what position the council will take. The meeting is open to the public. It starts at 7 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Center (Room 202) at 4649 Sunnyside Ave N.

  1. Very excited about the rumors that this will bring a national “outdoor equipment” retailer to Fremont. along with 400 new jobs!! And a showcase green building for the City of Seattle. This is exactly the kind of projects that we should be encouraging in our community.
