Next Wednesday, October 5, will be the final Wallingford Art Walk of the year. The event organizers have decided to put it on hold until February, and will only have it for five months of the year in 2012 in an effort to better promote each art walk.
From Tara Shuttleworth with Babette’s Events:
Last week the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Colleen Kurke and the Art Walk Board had a meeting and brainstormed on ways we can get more people to come out and enjoy our Art Walk. We believe that if we cut back how many art walks we have in a year we can promote the event more effectively getting more of the neighborhood and surrounding areas into our businesses. October will be the last Art Walk for this year. We feel that November, December and January are slow months for the Art Walk due to the holidays and weather.
