From Seattle Parks Foundation’s Oliver Bazinet:
Thanks for those of you who made it out to the work party in August. We had a successful morning yanking out most of the weeds in the south area of the park and managed to fill up the trunk of my car in the process (Thanks for the photo, Brook!). Our next work party will be on Saturday, October 1st from 9am to 12pmish and the goal will be tackling the other side of the park that we didn’t get to last month. Lisa Carroll of Friends of Waterway 18 will be leading the charge this time. As usual, there will be coffee and some light snacks.
Waterway 18 is one of the only natural beaches on Lake Union, according to the Seattle Parks Foundation. To learn more about the Waterway, visit their website.
