As Valentine’s Day 2015 approaches, please understand that if you have a sweetheart that you want to take somewhere special, time is running out to get a reservation!
There are so many great restaurants to sample and things to do in this town, there is no way to list everything in one post. But I can select a few things that might make what is really just another ordinary day of the year into a more romantic and fun time.
You can’t shoot a love-dart in Wallingford without hitting an eatery, so I am highlighting a few that seem like great places to take a date. I am always looking for new spots, so please send me more of your favorite date spots in the comments below!
Here are a few that I have linked right to their reservation pages to make your task that much easier.
Art of the Table – Celebrating food with a menu crafted by chef Dustin Ronspies that changes regularly to reflect a full range of seasonal, local produce, with all items made from scratch.
Joule – In the words of Chef/Owner Rachel Yang & Seif Chirchi “We love to cook and we love to eat.” The menu at Joule is an eclectic compilation of foods inspired by Asia, France, Germany and many other places around the world.
Sutra – On the menu is a variety vegetarian food served in an intimate atmosphere focusing on sustainable agriculture, community-style dining, and responsible business practices.
Cantinetta – An Italian restaurant specializing in Tuscan culinary traditions, authentic hand-made pasta, and seasonal organic ingredients from the Pacific Northwest.
mkt – An Ethan Stowell joint featuring an intimate space in tangetown serving thoughtful, contemporary American fare with a dedication to Northwest products.
Kisaku – sushi in tangletown that wants to be your friendly neighborhood sushi spot.
But wait –you’re not just going to have dinner are you?
You might want to check out a movie at our own Guild 45th or jump over the bridge to Sundance, Seven Gables, Varsity and the Grand Illusion Theaters.
