Attention lovers of quality libations, locally owned Wine World in Wallingford has tastings every day of the week including Beer Wednesdays, Local Thursdays and Flight Fridays; it’s like a penny-pinching tasters dream!
The Pacific Northwest has not only instilled in me a love of artisan craft beers, I have also developed a taste for fine wine and good bourbon. Taken seriously, and responsibly, these beverages are lovely to sip and savour in the cold and dark winter months.
Tonight, Nov 5, in addition to a Dicks Brewing Company and a Terrazas Wine Tasting, they are having a special Whisky Tasting Event featuring tastings of:
- Isle of Skye 8yr
- Tamdhu 10yr
- Arran 10yr
- Smokehead
- Kilchoman Machir Bay
- Arran Malt Amarone Cask
Chris Uhde, the district manager of Western Region Impex Beverages, will be leading the tasting. Uhde is Whiskey Expert for the United Scottish Society of Southern California, the founder of the Southern California Whiskey Club.
Tastings are Monday – Friday from 6-8pm and on the weekend from 2-5pm unless otherwise noted. Although most events are free and open to the public, the Friday Night Flights events is a $10 guided tasting series featuring wines from around the globe.
