If You’re Like A Lot Of People, Creating Your Will is Something You’ve Been Putting Off For Years – Even Though You Know The Importance of Having One
Well, put it off no longer! The 2014 PEPS Parent Talk Lecture Series, presented by Verity Credit Union, is Hosting 6 Steps to Create Your Will on Nov 10, 7-9pm.
Okay, I admit it, this has been on my mind for a while! I am that person – I know I need to have a will but feel so overwhelmed when it comes to getting it down on paper. What I need is someone to walk me through it, but hiring an attorney is definitely not in the budget!
This class is an opportunity to learn about how to create clear, simple documents, how to name a guardian for kids, give someone the power to manage finances, name a personal representative and decide who gets what.
This low-cost class can also start the process of creating an estate plan, as well as learn about the various options on how to leave a legacy by including the causes you are passionate about in your plan.
Megan Gebhardt, owner of Gebhardt Law Office, will be teaching this class. She has focuses her practice exclusively on estate planning and elder law. She serves as Western Division Chair of the Washington First Responder Will Clinic and as a volunteer speaker for PEPS groups.
Pre-registration is required, as space is limited.
Registration fee is $15 or pay-what-you-can. The $15 entitles you to bring your spouse or partner. PEPS works with various partners in the community to sponsor the lecture series and strives to keep the cost very low.
Tickets are Available at Brown Paper Tickets
PLEASE NOTE: PEPS hopes to deliver informative content free of disruptions at our lectures. Babes in arms (under 6 months) are welcome, but they ask that crawlers and crooners stay home with a caregiver.
