From Willsie:
Derby Salon’s 5th annual Beautify For Breast Cancer event will be held on October 21st at Wine World on 45th in Wallingford, where they raise money and awareness for Inflammatory Breast Cancer. The theme this year will be “Locks of Ages… Travel through the Tresses of time”, where we will be celebrating hair through the decades. It will be a fun filled evening filled with a themed hair show, raffle prizes, a silent auction ranging from dinners out to Seahawks tickets. The evening will be kid friendly with cakewalks and an 8-year-old magician. This event is something Derby is very passionate about. It is in honor of a Derby Stylist, Stacey Piper. Stacey lost her courageous battle to this disease in her early thirties and left behind an amazing daughter Peyton, now 6 and her wonderful friends and family. Derby donates all proceeds from the night to Peyton Piper’s benevolent fund and inflammatory breast cancer research. Last year they raised over $6,000.
