Update, June 4: Jamila wrote at 4:30 this morning to let us know that Bukie returned home. She wrote, “Thanks to all of you who called to let us know that you’d seen our dog — it’s great to know that there’s such a good community out there. She came home early this morning!”
Jamila’s family is on vacation and their dog Bukie has escaped from their home at N. 54th St. and Latona. If you’ve seen their dog, please use the contact information below to let them know.
We are out of town and our dog escaped. We have a dog sitter who has been unable to get her back. She is very shy of strangers — her name is Bukumba — “Bukie.” She is a lab mix, black with white spotted paws. She has a tag with our phone number on it, but she may not let a stranger approach her. She has never been aggressive.
