All this rain have you dreaming of drier climes? Take a little trip over to Wide World Books and Maps (4411 Wallingford Ave. N.) this Wednesday, Dec. 15, and indulge your fantasies with Nancy Pearl, Seattle’s celebrity librarian, action figure, and author of the “Book Lust” series.

Pearl will discuss and sign her new book, “Book Lust to Go: Recommended Reading for Travelers, Vagabonds, and Dreamers,” at 7:00 p.m., and Wide World Books and Maps will donate 20% of all proceeds from 6:00 p.m. to close on December 15 to the Wallingford-based charity Solid Ground.

In addition, throughout the month December Wide World Books and Maps is holding a Book Drive for new and gently used kids books that they’ll donate to Solid Ground.
