If you like a good walk, peeking into gardening enthusiasts’ backyards, and getting some ideas for your own garden, head out to Tweedy and Popp or the Wallingford Neighborhood Office to pick up an advance ticket for this Sunday’s Wallingford Garden Tour.
The Garden Tour is one of three annual events Wallingford Neighbor Office organizes (the others are the House Tour and the Kiddie Parade) that bring neighbors together and raise money for the office. The event sold out last year.
Janet Stillman, director of the Neighborhood Office, told us, “The garden tour is walkable, if you are a good walker, and features eight wonderful gardens. Some are flower gardens, some are edible plants gardens, and some are both.”
If the forecast holds, we should have decent weather for the tour — it’s supposed to be 68 degress and partly cloudy.
