We’re getting into ice cream weather now and seeing long lines at Molly Moon and full tables at Fainting Goat. Restaurants are making their own ice cream too, and a local restaurant’s frozen confection got some dubious attention from the Seattle Weekly — they posted “Seattle’s Top 5 Grossest-Sounding Ice Cream Flavors.”
Of Joule’s blue cheese ice cream, the Weekly said:
Mixed with a ribbon of toffee, you can’t really taste the Stilton blue cheese in this ice cream. The subtlety is almost disappointing, but really good, nonetheless. First you taste the cream, then the toffee, then a kick of blue cheese in the back of your throat. Blue cheese and toffee is a natural combination if you think about it.
