You may recall a few weeks ago there was an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven on Stone Way and N. 46th St. Yesterday one of the alleged robbers, Misty Cook, was in court to face charges of harming the police dog that chased her down, in addition to first-degree robbery and a weapons charge.

KOMO reports that a police dog named Hagi, who had been named “tracker of the year” in 2009, “helped track down Cook, who was armed with a 9mm handgun and fought back as the dog tried to take her down.” The article says that Hagi suffered a deep cut above her eye, and Cook is being held on $300,000 bail.
