Just before 9:15 this morning, Seattle Police and Seattle Fire responded to a car vs. pedestrian accident at N. 50th and Meridian. Detective Mark Jamieson with Seattle Police confirms that the driver struck the pedestrian, who was pushing a double stroller with two kids inside.
The man pushing the stroller and both kids were uninjured in the accident, but were shaken up, according to My Wallingford editor Marina Gordon, whose daughter was in the stroller. Gordon says that the woman driving was turning left onto 50th from Meridian. The driver told witnesses at the scene that she was “distracted” and didn’t see the pedestrians, who were crossing with the light. No word on if anyone was cited in this incident.
