Welcome spring in Wallingford

Spring will begin tomorrow with sunny skies and highs in the mid-60s. It’ll be a perfect day to get out and …

  • Plant your edible spring garden. Wallingford-based Seattle Tilth’s first Early Spring Edible Plant Sale is Saturday, though not in Wallingford (it’s at Magnuson Park).
  • Practice your French at Alliance Francaise’s celebration of La Journee Internationale de la Francophonie, at Good Shepherd Center.
  • Check out the McDonald School playground (N. 54th and Latona) and consider what equipment would work there before the community meeting on Tuesday.
  • Stop by The Pour House on its inaugural weekend (the new bar-restaurant in the old Luau spot on N. 56th Street).
  • Gorge on spaghetti to send St. Benedict’s School sixth graders to environmental camp (Sunday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.).
