Beginning in May, you’ll have an option to waiting in the long lines at Molly Moon’s ice cream shop to get your fix of salted caramel or scout mint — the frozen treat will come to you. Molly Moon Nietzel says that mobile Molly Moon’s, which will be the size of a FedEx truck, will roll through Seattle neighborhoods, the East Side, and special events (e.g., the Sasquatch music festival) further afield.
Nietzel is hiring drivers and working on truck design and music choices now. With her ties to the music scene, expect some out-of-the-ordinary tunes, plus Nietzel says she’ll enlist local “celebrity scoopers” to ride along sometimes.
