The former Hollywood Video building, on the corner of N. 45th and 2nd Ave. NE, will soon be home to Wallingford’s new liquor store. A year after the Washington State Liquor Control Board lost its lease on the store at N. 45th and Stone Way (now home to Archie McPhee’s), construction has begun in the amply sized, very visible building across from Dick’s.
The new liquor store, which the WSLCB plans to open on May 28, will be more than 50% bigger than the one it replaces: the previous location was 4200 square feet; the new one is 6700 square feet.
