The Wallingford Community Kitchen meets monthly to cook together then “enjoy the bounties of our labor by sitting down to share a meal.” Tickets are $9.99 in advance to cover the cost of ingredients and the facilities. Entrance will be $15 at the venue, the Wallingford Community Senior Center in the Good Shepherd Center.
Some more information from the Brown Paper Tickets site, where you can purchase tickets to the event:
We ask that all participants bring an appetizer, dessert or drink to share with the group (please no bread products as we receive those by donation).
Participation in these events requires a certain level of commitment we are cooking as a community and that includes work setting the room, cleaning up and of course the fun stuff of cooking and eating. We ask that all participants do their best to arrive by our start time of 5:30pm. If you are new to attending, you may want to arrive a few minutes early to find the bathrooms, stash you personal items and get comfortable with the set-up.
If for whatever reason you cannot arrive on time, please plan to stay with us to the end of the night. Ideally we try and wrap up by 9pm the ability to do this truly depends on each and every one of you and you ability to step up and proactively keep us clean throughout the event.
