The Wallingford Center will host the Easter Bunny from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, plus have egg hunt, the Bubble Man, face painting and more.
Woodland Park Zoo hosts its annual Bunny Bounce for ages 1-8 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. There are crafts, bunny encounters, entertainment and other animal enrichment programs throughout the day. It’s included with zoo admission. “For the health and well being of zoo animals, candy will not be placed inside the eggs – egg hunt participants will receive their treats as they exit the zoo,” the zoo release states.
Egg hunts at the zoo for ages 3 and under will be in the Picnic Shelter near the North Meadow continuously from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Egg hunts for ages 3-5 and 6-8 will be in the North Meadow at 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Trophy Cupcakes sells what it deems its most anticipated cupcake, the Hi-Hat, at Wallingford Center only on Saturday (the center’s closed on Sunday, but the U Village location will have them). It’s a gravity-defying concoction described on the Trophy site as “our Valrhona Chocolate Cupcake with a sky-hi swirl of pastel Marshmallow meringue that is dipped in semi sweet chocolate. whoa. Order in advance to be sure you get yours!”
On Saturday Mighty-O will introduce the Orange Blossom donut, a vanilla cake donut with an orange cream glaze, and will have a pink and fuzzy Bunny Whiskers donut on Sunday.
