We know that some prospective McDonald Elementary School parents have held off on deciding whether to send their children to the new school until they could meet the teachers. Tomorrow’s the chance for those undecided parents — as well as those who have committed to sending their children to McDonald — to get to know the newly hired teachers at an ice cream social.
Parent Sarah Koch, who’s also the president of the McDonald PTA that was formed last week, said of the teachers, “Those who have met them said they’d put them up against any private school teachers in Seattle.”
Children are welcome at the meet and greet, which will take place at the McDonald School playground at N. 54th and Latona at 6:30 p.m.
While at the meet and greet, parents can also join the PTA, which already has more than 50 members. Check for updates and sign up to get more information at the new PTA website, which will largely replace the current McDonald School Yahoo Group.
