Sara Girard from the league tells us the swag is not limited to the tickets themselves. Season ticket holders also get:

  • 10 percent savings over individual bout tickets
  • A free t-shirt
  • Early entry to the games
  • Special edition printed tickets and a lanyard
  • Commemorative bout program
  • Access to the VIP bar at KeyArena.

In case you aren’t familiar, the Rat City Rollergirls is Seattle’s first flat track, all-female roller derby league, founded in April 2004. The league is composed of about 100 member-owners, who are divided among four teams: Derby Liberation Front, Grave Danger, Sockit Wenches, and Throttle Rockets. RCRG’s fifth team, the Rat City Rollergirls All-Stars, is composed of the best players from the four home teams, who represent the league in regional and national play.

Girard tells us that the 2012 season will include, “an exciting mix of play from the home teams you know and love and interleague play from the Rat City All Stars, who recently placed fourth in the uber-competitive Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) Western Region semi-finals (narrowly losing to reigning WFTDA Champions Rocky Mountain Rollergirls).”

If you want to pick up some Rat City merchandise, or even learn how to throw elbows like the best of ’em, check out Fastgirl Skates and Fast Girl University in Wallingford, at 252 NE 45th St.
