Tonight’s the big night, and to recap your options for the evening, here’s a list of some events in the ‘hood.

Food trucks galore! The pod has expanded, which means 11 trucks will grace the parking lot of Uptown Espresso for the ghoulish evening. The participating trucks are BUNS, WhereYaAtMatt, Caribreoso, Dante Dogs, Big Food, Skillet, Street Treats, Snout & Co, Fusion on the Run, Raney Bro BBQ and Parfait, all from 4 – 7 p.m.

Archie McPhee Blood Drive and face painting: If you want to do your zombie costume right tonight, you should visit Jordan “Zombiemaker” Speers at Archie McPhee, where he’ll be offering his face-painting services (for free!) from 1 -5 p.m. In addition to zombifying yourself, you can also donate blood for the 18th Annual Archie McPhee Blood Drive. From 12 to 6 p.m. today, the Puget Sound Bloodmobile will be parked outside the store, ready to take your blood in exchange for a “spooky” prize. However, call ahead; they’ll only take your blood if you’ve made an appointment. To set up your time, visit the Archie McPhee store at 1300 N 45th St. in Wallingford, or call (206)297-0240.

Trophy Cupcakes Costume Contest: If your kids are cupcake lovers, and have designed a costume to resemble their favorite cupcake, don’t miss Trophy’s 3rd Annual Cupcake Costume Contest. Prizes include a $100, $50, or $25 Trophy Cupcakes and Party gift card. Everyone who enters the contest will receive a free cupcake.

Trick-or-treating! Go meet your neighbors! And visit businesses along 45th street, many will be handing out treats to costumed kids.
