Debut of food trucks in the neighborhood

As we reported earlier this week, Wallingford became the new home to a food truck pod, just next to Uptown Espresso at N. 45th St. and Corliss. As balmy temperatures continued through the evening, the food trucks had a line-up after opening at 5 p.m.

The options were Barriga Llena (pictured above), BUNS, and Curry Now.

The food truck pod will make several more appearances in the coming weeks, with more tasty options on the way.

  1. I went.  Found $12-$14 burgers.  Something that comes out of the back of a trailer shouldn't have the prices of a nice sit-down restuarant.  I'll walk a block to other options in the future.

  2. My wife and I went, and liked what we saw; but it was so crowded that we went to DIck's instead.

  3. Why don't they open till 5? Lunch or mid-afternoon would be better. At the current times I'll rarely get to try them.

  5. I love this new food truck pod!  Sure, the burgers might be more expensive than ones down the street, but knowing that I am putting high quality ingredients in my body, makes it worth it.  And that price includes (truffle) fries!  YUM!
