Fuji Bakery, the Japanese pastry shop in Bellevue and the International District, is looking to open their third store, possibly in Wallingford.

Last week @fujibakery Tweeted that they’re looking at us and Ballard for store number three, which would include a retail section and cafe.

SeattleMet picked up on the story and talked to the owner Akihiro Nakamura. They write that Nakamura “says he has been scouting spots for the past three months to no avail—Ballard is “so expensive,” he laments—so his hope is fans can help reverse that trend.”

Nakamura tells SeattleMet that the third store “won’t happen ‘for a while.'”
