The Wallingford Playfield wading pool (4219 Wallingford Ave. N) was scheduled to open today, but because the weather forecast is for temperatures below 70, Seattle Parks and Recreation has decided not to open the pool.

You can check whether the pool will be open on the city’s wading pool hotline (206) 684-7796 which is updated at 9 a.m. daily. Because of budget cuts, the wading pool will only operate Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from noon – 7 p.m. – that’s assuming that Mother Nature will start cooperating.
