Weekend: Holiday events galore

This weekend is packed with holiday events around Wallingford. Let’s get right to it:

Friday – Sunday

Studio Art Sale featuring 8 local artists at 4331 Burke. Paintings, prints, photography, cards, calendars, jewelry, dog accessories will be for sale. Friday 5-9 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Saturday

• Santa or Winter Scene Photos: The Wallingford Boys & Girls Club (1310 N. 45th St.) will have a photographer onsite from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to take portraits of your loved ones with St. Nick. General winter scene backgrounds will also be available for those who prefer to keep your photos all in the family. Several photo packages will be available, beginning with the “Comet” package: $20 for a single 5×7 and 4 wallet size. The Wallingford Boys & Girls Club will receive 20 percent of all proceeds from the event.
• The iconic WALLINGFORD sign on top of the QFC at 45th and Wallingford Ave. will be lit up and Green Carolers will perform. Tentative start time is 4 p.m.

• Not A Number does Festivus (we’ll add more details when we get them).
  
  
• Bizarre Bazaar, an alternative craft fair, will happen at Om Culture (2210 N. Pacific Street) from 1 to 5 p.m.

Sunday

Shop for a Cause at Wallingford Center: Many businesses at the Center and throughout the neighborhood will donate part of their proceeds for the day to the Wallingford Community Senior Center. From 3 to 5 p.m. will be a silent auction that also will benefit the Senior Center; dozens of businesses have donated goods and services. The Dickens Carolers will perform 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
